With a sleek, narrow profile set on a height-enhancing 4.5cm block heel, the Lady Yearling boot travels effortlessly and elegantly from urban and bush Australia to ringside at the runways of Paris, Milan, London and New York. It has a hardwearing yet feminine appeal, adding a touch of grit and heritage to more romantic looks and a refined sophistication to the more casual.
'The Lady Yearling, equal to its male counterpart, has a place in so many women's wardrobes. Due to its classic shape, it can be styled casually with a tank top and jeans, formally into workwear or with dresses for a more fun approach,' adds R.M.Williams stylist, Gemma Keil.
Below, Gemma takes us through three seasonal looks that showcase the Lady Yearling’s styling potential.
The tailored trouser and button up is a classic combination, and this look plays on those silhouettes in a neutral, caramel palette. Tonality really works when pairing the boots with a look, so I’d recommend aligning it with the pant and belt colour. The design of the Lady Yearling itself is incredibly timeless, so by simply wearing it with other classic items such as a cotton shirt, a blazer or great tailored pants, it keeps the whole look feeling very cohesive.
For this look, I styled from the ground up and pulled together a practical, monochrome outfit around the boot. The Lady Yearling’s refined, low profile lends itself to a more functional look, combining comfort and style. This look really shows that cold-weather dressing can be feminine, versatile and doesn’t always have to revolve around sweats.
I love pairing a boot with a romantic and feminine dress to give it some grit and toughen it up - the juxtaposition is one true of the feminine energy, so the pairing feels very natural. Women often have a lot of lesser-worn formal pieces in their wardrobes, which could be totally transformed by boots and become more wearable for the everyday. I would recommend pairing the Lady Yearling with either a short or full-length hemline and always choose boots darker than the dress.
